Senator Lalong, who attended the ceremony held at Doemak, Qua’an-Pan Local Government Area, described the occasion as a significant milestone in the history of Pan Chiefdom and congratulated the monarch for ascending the throne of his forefathers.
The Certificate and Staff of Office were formally presented to the traditional ruler by the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang.
Senator Lalong said his longstanding relationship with the Long Pan has given him the opportunity to appreciate his leadership qualities, particularly his compassion for the people, diligence in the discharge of his responsibilities and commitment to the development of Pan Chiefdom.
He expressed confidence that the traditional ruler will continue to provide purposeful leadership and work with relevant stakeholders to promote peace, unity and development across the Chiefdom.
Senator Lalong assured the Long Pan of his continued support and collaboration as the Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District, saying he will continue to work closely with the traditional institution and other stakeholders to address the developmental challenges confronting the people.
He also expressed profound appreciation to the Long Pan and the people of Pan Chiefdom for their cooperation and collaboration, which he said have contributed significantly to the successful execution of several development projects in the Chiefdom during his tenure as Governor and in his current capacity as Senator.
Senator Lalong prayed for God to grant the Long Pan wisdom, good health and strength to continue serving the people, while wishing him a successful and impactful reign.
He also congratulated the people of Pan Chiefdom on the historic occasion and urged them to continue to support and cooperate with their traditional ruler in advancing the peace, unity and development of the Chiefdom.
