FIFA President Infantino

Giovanni Infantino, FIFA President, has repeatedly visited Nigeria more than six times within the space of one year in a veiled bid to make him pay back the favours of protecting the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Amaju Pinnick, if eventually, as expected, the Supreme court ruled against his illegal board.
Infantino had been dragged by Mr Pinnick to President Muhammadu Buhari, at another time to the Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode. This is not counting his official visit to Nigeria when the heat of the legal tussle was very high before the Supreme Court eventually sacked the Pinnick board.
Factional NFA Chairman, Jarett Tenebe, in a late Tuesday night conversation with www.gongnews.net accused the FIFA President of having enjoyed pecuniary benefits from the NFF alongside his Secretary General, Fatma Samoura, a Senegalese, who was appointed from the United Nations system in Abuja.
An angry Tenebe demanded that “Infantino should resign from his position. I have written him a letter which I shall dispatch to him on Wednesday morning. He has soiled his hands and integrity. That is why his friend, Pinnick, is expecting him to take sides in the Nigerian matter.”
Tenebe added that, my sources claimed that on one of the occasions he came to Nigeria, a massive chunk of Dollars was dropped in his room which he clearly dodged. However, another source said, there were several instances he was influenced.”
I am forced to believe that it is these pecuniary benefits that made it possible for Amaju Pinnick to have been able to make Infantino visit the Nigerian dressing room after the victory of the Super Eagles over Croatia. Apart from the Nigerian team, there is no record of any other national team that Infantino visited their dressing room.”
“I am saying with emphasis that the FIFA President must have tremendously benefitted the massive corruption in Nigerian football. The petition written by coach James Peters had been made available to me by my friends. It showed how Pinnick and Shehu Dikko milked our football no wonder they could bring Infantino to Nigeria the number of times he had visited.”(Gongnews)
