2 dead, 6 rescued in Abuja building collapse

Two persons have been confirmed dead when a storey building under construction collapsed at Obafemi Awolowo Way by Asuquo J. Okon intersection in Jabi, Abuja.
However, six others are said to have been rescued.
An unspecified number of workers are trapped under the rumble with many emergency organisations trying to rescue victims.
A mechanic, Majid Abdul, who operates near the collapsed building, told Apex News at the site that, he heard a loud sound as the four-storey building went down.
Many rescue organisations including National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), The Red Cross, Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC) and VIO among others were at the area.
