The All Progressives Congress (APC) is fixed dates for its primary elections for the 2019 general elections.
However, the dates are expected to formally unveil on Wednesday.
Apex News gathered that the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party which holds next Wednesday to endorse the timetable for the conduct of congresses and primaries for the nomination of candidates.
The party had sent a memo signed by its National Choarman, Adams Oshiohmole to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu, detailing the intention to conduct the primaries.
According to the memo, the party had fixed primaries to elect candidates for the House of Representatives for Wednesday, September 19, 2018, senatorial elections for Thursday, September 20, 2018, governorship for Monday, September 24, 2018 and House of Assembly Primaries for Saturday, September 29, 2018.
It also scheduled congresses to select delegates to the Presidential National Convention for Saturday, September 8, 2018.
However, the memo mistakenly fixed the Presidential Primary to elect presidential candidate for September 19, 2018, thereby making it coincide with House of Representatives Primaries.
