2019: Useni and I, out to rescue Plateau – Dalok

Plateau PDP Governorship candidate, Jeremiah Useni
Dr James Dalok, running mate to Gen Jeremiah Useni (rtd), PDP’s governorship candidate in Plateau, said on Wednesday that the task before them was to rescue the state from “its woes“ come 2019.
Dalok, who made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Mangu, Plateau, said that the two of them remained the best match for PDP’s rescue mission on the Plateau in 2019.
The PDP stalwart said that the party’s decision to nominate them as governorship flag-bearers in Plateau was “very apt and rewarding’’.
Dalok, a former Deputy Director with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), said that people of the state had had enough of the killings and suffering.
He added that once the two of them were elected into office, they would do their best possible to wipe away the tears of the people.
“My principal is an expert in terms of security; he will be the only one that can solve some of the security challenges we are facing in the state using his wealth of experience, his influence and capacity while he was in the Nigerian army.
“He has attended so many courses both outside the country and in Nigeria.
“Based on that, he can deplore some of the strategies to ensure that there is no any security problem in the state.’’
Dalok expressed optimism that once the people of Plateau give them the mandate to serve them in 2019, the lost glory of the state in terms of peace and unity, would be restored.
“Peace will surely reign come 2019, and you know without peace there would be no development; without peace, there will be no unity.
“If there is unity, there is love; if there is unity, there will be growth and development both economically and physically.
“We would be able to attract investors from different places to come and invest in the state so that we will create more employment opportunities for youths.’’
Dalok, a revenue expert, said that with his experience, he could turn around the revenue fortunes of the stated for the better once elected into office
He maintained that the state was lacking in infrastructure such as good roads, healthcare delivery, educational institutions, portable water, and functional industries, among others.
“I am a professional accountant to the core and a Ph. D holder in accounting. Based on my experience in the area of revenue generation while I was at ITF, I will support him (Useni) to ensure that the revenue profile of Plateau improves.’’ (NAN)
