2023: We’re sure of victory, can manage more aspirants – Plateau APC chair, Bature stresses

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State has boasted of it capacity to handling of more than 100 aspirants that may be interested in running for election into the state house of assembly.
The state chairman, Honourable Rufus D. Bature while throwing his total support for a fair and transparent primaries in the state, also revealed that so far the APC has sold 60 forms to those interested in contesting election into the state legislature.
Honourable Bature made this known during an exclusive interview with Apex News Exclusive recently in his office in Jos.
According to him, the APC in the state is battle ready ahead of the 2023 elections.
“Let me first of all assured you that as a law-abiding political party, we are working in tandem with the electoral guidelines provided by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as such we are quite prepared for the elections come 2023. Let me add here that with about 60 of our members that had purchased the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms, we are ready to give each one of them a level playing ground to exercise their franchise.
“We have three methods to which our candidate can emerged. Direct, Indirect and Consensus primary,” he said.
Honourable Rufus while debunking a rumour that the state governor, Simon Lalong has a preferred governorship candidate he anointed secretly to succeed him, posited that he has not seen the possibility of the opposition PDP will takeover power.
