29 ships carrying various products expected at Lagos ports
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said in its daily publication ‘Shipping Position’ on Wednesday that is expecting 29 ships with petroleum products, food and other goods between Sept. 26 and Oct. 4, at the Apapa and the Tin Can Island Ports.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 10 of the 29 ships will sail in with petrol.
The other 19 ships are carrying buckwheat, general cargo, bulk sugar, bulk gypsum and containers of different goods.
The document indicated that 17 ships are presently discharging buckwheat, bulk soya beans, general cargo, steel, container, diesel, and petrol at various terminals in Lagos ports
According to the NPA, 12 ships have arrived at the ports waiting to berth with bulk fertiliser, buckwheat, container and petrol.
NAN also reports that 11 ships waiting to berth at the Calabar port with ring, buckwheat, petrol general cargo, while six ships are expected to arrive with general cargo, and buckwheat. (NAN)
