32 states vie for honours as Keffi Emirate hosts Badminton tournament

Clubs from no fewer than 32 states of the Federation will be participating in the 2022 Emir of Keffi Badminton tournament.
The Emir of Keffi, Dr Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, made the disclosure while speaking to journalists on the hosting right of the tournament by the Emirate council at his palace in Keffi, Tuesday.
He said the badminton tournament will bring unity among the people of Keffi and its environs by encouraging the youth to be law-abiding so as to have a peaceful society.
The paramount ruler posited that there are over one hundred orphans under the custody of the Keffi Emirate, adding that the resources generated at the tournament will be used to support the less-privileged as he called for support from spirited individuals and organisations to enable the tournament succeed.
He said “The orphans are currently studying in primary and secondary schools as well as tertiary institutions,I wish solicit the assistance from wealthy individuals to support this venture to enable them have a sense of belonging” The monarch said.
The badminton tournament which is being organized by Antau Badminton Club, Keffi and Association of Badminton Clubs in Nigeria, is schedule to hold on June 21 to 25, 2022 at the Youth Centre, Keffi.
