The Peoples Democratic Party, Plateau state chapter has said that ruling All Progressives Congress in the state is more of a dumping ground of incompetent politicians.
But that the PDP is the only party that van offer good governance yo the good people of plateau.
These are the statements of the plateau state PDP publicity secretary, Mr John Akans, in an exclusive interview in his office.
He said the PDP is prepared to offer good governance and deserve leadership to the people of plateau as they have been yarning for adding that the PDP is mindful of the expectation of the people.
According to him, “To this end,the party has remain focus,committed and working hard towards returning power to the people via a purposeful and people oriented leadership.
“This can be seen in the commitment of our executives,it is also visible in our unity as a party and as well as the kind of commitment from our state chairman,who is our leader.He has been saying,that is our desire and we re committed towards that.
“And I want to asured the people of Plateau state that we as a party are willing to give them the deserved leadership that they will not be disappointed.All we need from them is to continue to be focus and particularly in voting the PDP come 2023″, he said.
Mr Akans also revealed that the PDP is the image of plateau and the state remains a PDP state.Ss such the party is ever willing and ready for any election as was clearly seen during the two bye elections conducted recently.
He further revealed that governor Lalong did not won election in 2015 and that of 2019 despite the sympathy votes sthat was given to him” Lalong only rigged with 40,000 votes and in 2019 he again rigged with about 20,000 votes respectively ,which shows that the APC was never on ground on the Plateau.
According to the publicity secretary, the PDP is more on ground than the APC going by the caliber of people who are aspiring for various seats under the umbrella of the PDP in the state.
“This also point to the fact that PDP is well founded and it goes to tell you that if not on the fact that PDP is on the foundation of unity,you wouldn’t have seen people coming to buy PDP forms.
“And I can tell you ,go to the APC and interview them,the numbers of aspirants that had purchased our forms and had been screened is going to be more than those of the APC.
“Because there are no serious aspirants in the APC .But when you talk about the series of aspirants that has vision and all it takes,who have the capacity, they are all here in the PDP.Those justling for the APC seat are of the same incompetence as Lalong, people who lacks competence.So the APC is a dumping ground”for incompetent politicians” he added.
Mr Akans, in further answers to questions ,however said so far ,the numbers of those that had purchased forms of Expression of Interest and Nomination,vying for the governorship under the PDP are 18 competent and responsible individuals,while those for 24 seat state assembly aspirants are 157 and that 40 vibrant aspirants for the Federal House of representatives had also purchased their form had been screened.
Also, he said 16 distinguished Senate aspirants had purchased the forms, screened and none has been cleared or disqualified.
