500km road projects completed in Cross River – Commissioner

The government of Governor Ben Ayade has so far completed over 500 kilometres of road infrastructure in Cross River State.

Th government has also intervened in some trunk A roads, which reason it has received N18.6 billion refund from the federal government to cover such interventions by Donald Duke and Liyel Imoke’s governments.

Commissioner for works in the state, Engr Dane Osim ASU made the disclosure in Calabar during a ministerial press briefing.

He said “this administration can confidently boasts of completing over 500km road projects put together.”

Asu critically appraised and rated Governor Ayade high in the areas of roads infrastructure and public procurement, saying the accomplishments recorded in the last seven and half years are unprecedented and have contributed to economic growth of the state.

Asu said Governor Ayade took the bull by the horn by embarking on major and minor road construction, rehabilitation and intervention projects across the State.

He said projects such as the Spaghetti Flyover, Super and Mini Highways, dualisation of the TINAPA-Odukpani highway, Boki East-West road, amongst others are at various stages of completion.

The Commissioner assured that no road project would be left uncompleted as Ayade’s administration draws to an end.
