Bauchi Governor appoints son of former CBN Governor, Ahmed Abdulkadir as Commissioner of Finance

One of the sons of one-time Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), late Ahmed Abdulkadir, Modibbo Abdulkadir Ahmed, is one of the 21 Commissioners recently sworn in by Bauchi state Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir who assigned him to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development.
While reacting to the development, Modibbo Ahmed Abdulkadir expressed gratitude to the Governor for finding him worthy of such position promising to justify the confidence reposed in him.
He pledged to do his best by working round the clock to ensure the state access more interventions from both public and private financial institutions and other donor organizations for the economic advancement of the state.
Modibbo Abdulkadir said that, “I am short of words to express my deepest gratitude to His Excellency, our amiable Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed for seeing trust in me to be appointed as Commissioner Finance. We must appreciate the governor for the opportunity to our family because my late father was a one-time Commissioner for finance in Bauchi State before he was appointed CBN Governor.”
He added that, “I will assure the Governor that, I will make good use of his connection and that of my late father to ensure that, more resources and opportunities are coming to our state to enable our hardworking and project Governor continue with the execution of his legacy projects.”
The new Finance Commissioner sought for the support of local, international and national development partners in assisting the present administration in the state to achieve its financial policy for the state to be on the path of growth and development.
Modibbo Abdulkadir therefore solicited for the total support and commitment to duty by both management and members of staff of the ministry for effective service delivery.
