Again: North-East APC group calls on Governor Yahaya Bello to contest for presidency

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State

The North-East Coordinator of Yahaya Bello of Kogi state for Presidency under the All Progessives Congress (APC) group, Hajiya Aishatu Saidu, has called on Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state to run for president in 2023, stating that it was time for the youth to take over the country’s leadership.

In a press statement signed by Its North East Publicity Secretary, Hon. Mohammed Bello Arabi which was made available to newsmen, stated that, the Kogi governor is the best man to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to the statement, Yahaya Bello has big ideas, charisma and all the needed leadership acumen to continue from where Buhari will stop, Bello had made remarkable achievements in the areas of security, infrastructure, youth and women inclusion in governance.

She said the governor had continued to set the pace, transforming Kogi in terms of
infrastructures and the standard of living. Yahaya displayed supreme intelligence, creativity and innovation.

The statement added that, ” If given the opportunity to lead Nigeria, Aishatu believes Governor Yahaya’s impact would be instantly felt as he has garnered the requisite experience, exposure and expertise.

She added that, they will also meet APC governors from the zone and other notable leaders within and outside the APC to ensure that Yahaya Bello doesn’t only make himself available to run but gets the APC ticket to win the presidential election in 2023.

Aisha described that, like many other young Nigerians wanting to change the narratives of political bandwagon and recycled politicians, we are looking up to him as the hope of the Nigerian youth.

She said that the group “after thorough research and evidence of the numerous antecedents’’ of Bello decided to call on him to run for President in 2023. The youth were tired of “recycled leaders’’.
