The embattled governorship candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi state, Sen. Obinna Ogba has vowed that no man born of woman will snatch his ticket away from him.
Sen.Ogba who also serves as senate chairman on sport is representing Ebonyi Centre senatorial.
He explained that the national leadership of the party only conducted and recognised the 4th and 5th June 2022 primaries in Ebonyi state.
Ogba made this known on Sunday when he addressed his teeming supporters at the his campaign office in Abakiliki the state capital.
“You have made me proud and am not going to disappoint you. I made a promise to you people that the mandate given to me ‘no man born of a woman will take it away from me and I will do that in line with the spirit of Ebonyi People.
“I may not have money but I have the grace. Please don’t be trick. I have been in this Party right from the very day August 1998 at Sharaton Abuja when it was formed.
“So of these people I gave them form, some have no card until this very close moment of elections.
“I have always said it that court doesn’t belong to one person, it is for all of us and by the grace of God, I will follow them to any court they went to.
“At first court, went in my favour and so would the second one be.
“I will also plead with you not to shake in your support, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
“As we are concerned, the National Party of PDP conducted only one election in Ebonyi and that is the 4th and 5th June, 2022 and somebody who did not participate in the election went to court and said cancel the election in which he did not participate, I will not go further”, he explained.
Mr. Ifeanyichukwu Odii, a billionaira had went to court and got order to cancel the 4th and 5th primaries which product Sen. Ogba as the gubernatorial candidate of the party.
Odii also in controversial 28th and 29th May, 2022 conducted Primaries which product him as the governorship candidate of the party, prayed the court to recognize him as the state governorship candidate which was granted.
Ogba who was not joined in the first suit by the planitiff (Odii) got ruling from Appeal court to be joined in the matter, but in quick re-trial of the matter, the court still ruled in favour of the billionaire politician.
