Ambassador Ogar Osim
By Akpan David, Calabar
Chairman of Labour Party in Cross River State, Ambassador Ogar Osim has asserted that the dream of making Nigeria a save haven for all will become a reality soon as they are ready to deliver victory for their presidential candidate, Peter Obi in the state next year.
He spoke when he addressed no fewer than 60 support groups for Mr Peter Obi in Calabar..
He cautioned LP supporters and members against hate speech and inciting the public in efforts to market their principal.
According to him, Obi is not difficult to market compare with other presidential candidates whose handlers are still struggling to identify which schools, what qualifications and integrity records they have.
The over 60 support groups met with the party leadership to see how to renovate a massive property donated by their senatorial candidate for Cross River south, House of Representatives member, Daniel Asuquo, as state Secretariat.
The LP chairman said, “We are not like others who are unruly. We are obedient supporters of a very marketable and principled candidate of a fast growing political party in Africa.
“We do not have any needs therefore to abuse any one, spread hate speech or even incite people against the other.
“Our principal is well educated and the several schools he attended are traceable and verifiable. He has impeccable credentials in education, business and leadership. So it is not difficult at all to market and present him for election. Others have difficulties to make their candidates appeal to electorate..
“Besides, Labour Party is a family party, which logo depicts father, mother and children…”
He charged all support groups to go into the hinterlands to educate the folks about LP logo.
“Nigerians know Peter Obi but many don’t know our LP logo. So we must begin now to move into the hinterlands and educate people about our logo.”
