A notable All Progressives Congress (APC)’s stalwart in Nasarawa State, Hon Rayyanu Iliyasu, has thrown his weight behind Governor Abdullahi Sule’s second term bid.
The stalwart said Gov Sule has recorded unprecedented milestone do deserve a return.
He made the observation in an interactive session with journalists on Friday in Lafia, the state capital.
Iliyasu who was the campaign Director General of the former governor of the state and senator representing Nasarawa-South senatorial district, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, said Sule has been able to prove doubting Thomases wrong with just over there years of his assumption of office.
The Talba Babba of Lafia, said Gov Sule has brought high level of honesty and integrity into governance, adding “this informed the amount of prudence we see in the management of merger resources that accrue to the state from the Federation Account.
“We have seen the massive infrastructural development taking place across the urban centers and rural areas of the state.
“Lafia can be said to be the fastest growing state capital in the country from it’s earlier status of a glorified local government area.
“In the area of healthcare delivery, the medical outreach programme initiated by this administration targeting rural and hard-to-reach areas, has greatly reduced maternal and infant mortality rate as well as curbing infectious diseases spread among rural folks.
“His achievements in education, agriculture, security amongst others, have been tremendous.”
He said the governor deserves commendation for the number of agro-allied industries that are springing up across the state, noting that without providing the enabling environment and luring investors to take advantage of the many potentials that are abound in the state, such feat wouldn’t have been possible.
He said the governor deserved the support of all development-minded indigenes and residents to accelerate his return in 2023.
