Adamawa electoral commission promises free, fair, credible local government polls

The Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC) has releases the timetable and schedule of activities for the free, fair and credible local government election on July, 13.
The Commission disclosed this at a meeting with leaders of political parties, preparatory to the conduct of Local Government Election in the state.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting in his office, the Chairman of ADSIEC, Alhaji Mohammed Umar revealed that the commission is working round the clock to ensure it delivers a credible election.
He said it is on this note that, electoral body has so far released the timetable and scheduled of activities for the exercise adding that it has met with electoral officers and other stakeholders concerned.
In a remarks, the State Chairman of Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Bello Babajo thanked Governor Umaru Fintiri for his foresight to making sure the third tier of government is given a priority.
Babajo therefore called on all political parties to come out and purchase the nomination form and contest positions of chairman and councilors in the forthcoming election.
He said as political parties, they are ready to partake in the local government election, and urged all parties involved to play the game according to the rules as Adamawa people are peace loving.
The ADSIEC Commissioner of Public Affairs, Pastor Love Zidon says all the concerned authorities and stakeholders have been well informed on the election which he believes will be one of the best ever produced in the state.
He called on the electorate in Adamawa to come out and exercise their franchisee during the conduct of the poll and appealed to all political parties to work with decorum as election is not a do or die affair.
