Adamawa Governor-elect, Fintiri seek support of his opponents
Adamawa State governor-elect, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has sought for support from candidates of other parties who lost in the election.
Speaking at a media briefing in Yola on Friday, Fintiri stressed the need for all to join hands and seek for solution to myriad of problems affecting development in the state.
He urged all contestants in the just concluded election and other stakeholders to put behind them the period of campaigning which saw politicians hauling accusation against one another.
Fintiri noted that although he disagreed with many things his opponents might have said in the course of campaigning, he felt he should collaborate with them in his effort to improve the lives of the people.
“I will therefore like to extend hand of fellowship to all the contestants to join me in ensuring that the people of Adamawa State are served,” he said.
