Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State

Graduands of Modibbo Adama University, (MAU) Yola, have been charged to be true representatives of the alma mater by working hard and exhibit moral standards as you face the challenges of the future.
Adamawa state Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri gave charge at the 28th convocation ceremony of the institution in Yola the state capital.
According to Governor, “The university has done its best as a hatchery, equally the parents of the graduating students who provided needed support.
“We are all here not only to celebrate you for this foot you have achieved today but equally to urge you for an enduringly bright future”, he said.
The who was represented by his deputy, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, also congratulated the Vice Chancellor as his five-year tenure comes to an end in few weeks time. The Vice Chancellor organised three convocations during his tenure.
“To the VC, I know that this convocation is more than a graduation ceremony, as it is perhaps a moment of reflection on his stewardship and an opportunity to look back and see whether or not he has been able to deliver on his initial vision for the university,” Fintiri noted.
At this 28th convocation ceremony, a total of 5,545 students graduated. Out of the number, 458 had diplomas, 4,282 bachelor’s degrees with 53 first class, 1,143 second class upper, 2,376 second class lower, 682 third class, and 28 pass degrees.
In the higher degree category, 41 had postgraduate diplomas, 630 master, and 134 PhDs.
