Adamawa Governor Fintiri commends military for checkmating criminal activities

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri thumbs up Nigeria military for checkmating the activities of criminals trying to make state ungovernable.

Fintiri made this remarks at the 2023 Nigerian Army ‘West African Social Activities’ (WASA) organized by the Headquarters of the 23 Armoured Brigade, Yola.

The Governor lauded the efforts of the Nigerian Army in achieving peace assuring that the   government will continue to call for sincere commitment of all stakeholders to ensure peaceful coexistence.

Gov. Fintiri’s words, “I am glad to state here that, Adamawa State is currently witnessing relative peace due to the dedication of the military and other security agencies in discharging their duties diligently and professionally”.

He said, his administration will continue to work with relevant stakeholders and the security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators of crime in the state are dealt with headlong.

“We would on our own as Government will continue to support the Nigeria Army and other Security agencies in all manner to ensure security of lives and properties in Adamawa State”, he said.

For the officers who paid the supreme price during the course of duty, Governor Fintiri prayed to God to grant their souls eternal rest and their loved ones the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The Governor therefore expressed the hope that the WASA among other events will be sustained and improved upon because of its immense benefits to both the barracks community as well as the state.

The Brigade Commander, 23 Armoured Brigade Yola, Brigadier General Paul Kefas Zawaya said WASA creates atmosphere for relaxation to mark the end of the year’s activities and to usher into the activities of the new year.
