Adamawa Governor Fintiri commissions remodeled Taraba Assembly complex, lauds Governor Kefas giant strides

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has commissioned the multi-million naira remodeled Taraba State house of Assembly complex.
Commissioning the edifice in Jalingo, Fintiri commended Governor Agbu Kefas for achieving this significant milestone towards transforming the state.
He asserted that the remodeled complex would provide legislatures with a modern and conducive environment to effectively fulfill their duties.
Fintiri praised Kefas for establishing a culture of development in Taraba State, pointing out that the remodeling follows his earlier successful upgrades of the government house and other critical projects, noting that this action are testament to the governor’s commitment to translating democracy into tangible service for the people, highlighting the brotherly relationship between Taraba and Adamawa states.
In his words “democracy is beyond the usual act of elections. Leaders are to imbibe the culture of service delivery to the people. For democracy to thrive, power must not only be separated but each organ must be respected and supported for development.”
Fintiri noted with delight the cordial working relationship between governor Kefas and state legislatures which he said had paved the way for speedy development in Taraba State and appealed to the people of the state to support the moving forward mantra of the governor to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
Earlier, the speaker of the House, Hon. John Kizito Bonzena, expressed gratitude to Governor Kefas for the successful completion of this transformative project, recalling that the assembly complex was constructed in 1994 during military administration and had never undergone such a significant upgrade before the rescue mission by Governor Kefas, making it the best amongst its counterparts.
Bonzena further acknowledged the governor’s focus on enhancing the capabilities of the legislature through ongoing training initiatives.
The Clerk of the House, Mrs. Salmuna Amos Sani in her remarks said governor Kefas’s assumption into office has established a new chapter for the legislative arm of government in the state.
She lauded the governor for routine capacity building workshops and seminars, pointing out that the rare privileged had tremendously enhanced performances and productivity of lawmakers and in addition settling a backlog of seven years arrears of staff of the legislature.
Salmuna equally appreciated the Speaker and members of the house for an immeasurable support in providing the required services to democratic institutions.
