As the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State prepares towards the success of the revalidation and membership registration exercise, thousands of decampees from other political parties were received into her fold in Kafanchan, Southern Kaduna.
Receiving the decampees, the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Hajiya Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, tasked them to be good ambassadors of the Party in all they do.
Speaking through her Senior Special Assistant Political Matters, Honourable Wilson Iliya Yangye, the Deputy Governor commended the decampees for taking the bold step to join APC, which she noted is the party to beat considering the track record achieved thus far.
She pointed out that the Party has always been fair to all her members irrespective of when one joined the party, adding that they should be sure of equal treatment going forward.
The Deputy Governor explained that what informed the decision for the Party to embark on the membership registration and revalidation was to provide an opportunity for both new and existing members to be captured based on modern realities.
She appealed to all to join hands with the Mallam Nasiru El’Rufai’s administration in the State to move the State forward, as the Government would not renage in it’s promise to transform the entire State for the better.
Earlier, the APC Chairman of Jema’a Local Government, Alhaji Ibrahim Koli, expressed optimism that more decampees would be received to the Party as there is no better place for them to be.
He assured the decampees to consider themselves bonafide Party members and would be given equal treatment that all other members are enjoying.
In an address, the Zonal Chairman of the party, Mr Luka Shemang, noted that the party in the Zone is now positioned more than ever before to change its fortunes for the better, as more people have now realized their mistakes.
Representative of the APC Chairman, Jaba Local Government, Mr Nyomo Ibrahim, commended Governor Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai for carrying Southern Kaduna in all his developmental strides in the State, especially the Kaduna Urban Renewal Project.
Speaking on behalf of the decampees, Engineer Monday Barau, challenged the new members to be ready to work towards the betterment of the Party better than the old members.
He expressed optimism that the party would continue to grow stronger owing to the fact that the Governor is fulfilling his promises to the people by executing meaningful developmental projects in the state.
