ANA donates 1,500 books to schools— President

The President Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) Denja Abdullahi said that 1, 500 books have been donated to schools in the country in furtherance of the association’s “A Book a Child project.”
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the book project was conceived at the association’s 2017 general meeting held in October last year in Benue state.
Abdullahi told NAN in Abuja that, ten chapters of the association made up of Imo, Benue, Kwara, Oyo, Bayelsa, Ekiti, Rivers, Niger, Kano and the FCT made the donations.
He said the association needs books in millions of copies to reach every school child in the country and asked for the intervention of government at all levels.
The books donated were Golden Girl of Galma by Kabiru Abdullahi, The Loyal Queen by Chinyere Obi -Obasi and Oma , The Drummer Queen by Salamatu Sule.
According to him, the books were published last year under the Nigerian Writer Series. (NAN)
