Anambra information commissioner tasks media on objectivity

The Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr C-Don Adinuba, has charged media practitioners to always balance their reports before publication.
The Commissioner stressed the importance of Social Mobilization of Officers to readily source positive information for the public on the achievements of the State government.
He commended Governor Willie Obiano for creating an enabling environment that encourages peace and friendship which he noted has contributed immensely in promoting harmonious co-existence amongst the people.
Contributing, a University teacher, Reverend Father Professor Boniface Obiefuna urged Information Officers to strive towards timely access to right information in order to report accurately.
Professor Obiefuna who teaches at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, advised Information Officers to always be objective in their reportage.
In a remark, the Chairman of the Chapel, Mr. Anthony Nweke who thanked the participants and speakers at the conference, commended Governor Willie Obiano for creating an enabling environment for Media practitioners to do their work.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr Josephat Akabuike, who chaired the event, was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Dr. John Ndibe.
