The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial election, Senator (Dr) Victor Umeh, has commended the Governor of Anambra State, Chief (Dr) Willie Obiano for keeping the state safe.
Speaking to newsmen recently, Senator Umeh said that the mass return experienced in Anambra State during festive occasions is the legacy of the APGA Government led by Governor Willie Obiano.
According to Senator Umeh “Obiano has restored security to Anambra State at its firmest level. For five years now, Anambra State had become very peaceful.
“People visit the state at any time they want and leave the state without fear of bandits.
“Security and peaceful environment returned, economic activities soared and people who have been avoiding Anambra State started coming home, the idea of giving out children in marriages in the townships stopped.
“This last Christmas was very peaceful, no ugly incidence reported, except two Reverend Fathers that were kidnapped in Anambra East Local Government Area and within three days they were rescued.
“So no loss of life during this Christmas. We give glory to God. That’s what I call the Governor Obiano effect.”
