Anambra Police Command decorates 113 promoted ASPs

Anambra State Police Command has decorated recently promoted 113 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs).
The ceremony took place at the Command’s Headquarters, Amawbia.
The Anambra State Commissioner for Police Mr. John Abang, while decorating the officers said the promotion was part of the Inspector-General of Police’s commitment to motivate personnel and strengthen the fight against crime in the country in line with the police agenda for improving security and stability.
Those promoted were represented by forty officers in adherence to the COVID-19 protocols.
According to the Anambra Police Commissioner, as Senior Officers, they must change their attitude and be confident in themselves, walk tall and carry themselves in a civilized manner.
In his remarks, a Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr. Chris Awolabi noted that the promotion means more responsibility on their shoulders.
He urged them to be ready to face the challenges ahead even as he thanked the Inspector General of Police for the reward.
Responding on behalf of the promoted officers ASP Ann Okoye with songs of praise thanked the IGP for his thoughtfulness as well as acknowledged the fatherly role Mr. Abang has played in shaping their mindset of being role models in the Police force.
