Anambra Police Commissioner, Dandaura, visits Awka monarch, reassures on security

The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mustapha Dandaura, says the Command will use the recently inaugurated “Operation Puff Adder” to intensify its operations across the state.

He stated this when he led some officers and men of the Command on a courtesy call on the traditional ruler of Awka, Obi Gibson Nwosu at his palace.
According to the Commissioner of Police, the Command would not relent in its efforts to ensure that Anambra remains the safest state in the country, warning criminals still hiding in Anambra, to leave the state immediately or face the full wrath of the Command.
Mr. Dandaura, commended the Willie Obiano administration for its support to the State Police Command and other security agencies in the State adding that the Police Command in Anambra has recorded series of successes in its activities especially with the recent arrest of those involved in the gruesome murder of the President-General of Nimo in Njikoka Local government Area Chief Frank Anthony Igboka and others that have been terrorizing the State.
The Police Commissioner, who maintained that the Police in Anambra State will continue to discharge its duties within the ambits of the law, urged the public to always furnish the police with useful information that will assist them in discharging their duties effectively.
Responding the traditional ruler of Awka, Obi Nwosu who thanked the Commissioner of Police for the visit promised to always support and encourage the command in its avowed commitment in flushing out criminal elements from the state.
