The engineering profession in any sector of development seems to be interwoven as one complements the other in achieving the desired results.
Civil engineering, a component of roads and building construction, is critical in ensuring the execution of high-quality roads and building structures.
Despite its perceived difficulty in learning, Architect Manir Musa Jega, determined to pursue civil engineering as a career, went through the rigorous learning and training process and eventually became among the most reliable, credible and experience civil engineering consultants in Nigeria.
Architect Manir Musa Jega started practising his chosen civil engineering profession as a career under his established and registered M-TECH Universal Concept Nigeria limited shortly after graduation from Kebbi State Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi, in the year 2000.
Unargualably, as it gradually manifested, Engineer Manir has been blessed with expertise in designing high-quality building structures and techniques for supervision based on international best practices.
With successful execution of several high-quality building structures, M-TECH became exposed to sustained patronage of industrialists, government establishments, and estate developers.
Since then, from the proceeds of the consultancy services, Arc. Manir, with the strong belief in giving back to the society for it’s contribution to your life, established the M-TECH Foundation through which he started providing educational scholarships to the children of the indigent and orphans in his community in addition to financial support for people with genuine health challenges over the years.
In a significant milestone achieved within a short period, M-TECH designed and supervised the construction of a number of modern agro-alied industries in different parts of the country.
Among them included Labana Rice Mills phases one and two in Birnin Kebbi, WACOT Rice Mills, the producer of The Bull Rice in Argungu, MANGAL Rice in Katsina and two other factories in Kano.
Interestingly and joyfully too, each time he secured a contract, he increased the number of orphans and children of the less-privileged from more communities in the foundation’s education scholarship programme.
As part of his administration’s policy of continuity and the need for encouraging indigenous companies with capacity and technological expertise, Comrade Governor Nasir Idris engaged M-TECH Universal Concept and ZBCC for the completion of the abandoned ultra modern state’s Secretariat complex. The already completed edifice being described as the best of its kind among others in the country is now ready for commissioning.
Expectedly, the M-TECH Foundation has last year sponsored 450 orphans drawn from Birnin Kebbi, Kalgo, Jega, Aliero, Maiyama and Gwandu local governments areas for their educational pursuit.
The scholarship package includes free JAMB forms, JAMB tutorial by the foundation’s engaged teachers, payment of transport to and from the tutorial centres and payment registration fees and accommodation for those that got admission at any tertiary institution in the country for the period of their study.
At an elaborate and well attended ceremony held at the Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic last week, all those that got admission were presented with the registration fees and accommodation allowance by the Kebbi State Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida.
In brief remarks at the occasion, the Managing Director and Chairman of M-TECH foundation Arch Manir Jega said he feels fulfilled by the success of the scholarship programme.
He further disclosed that as part of his contribution to Comrade Governor Nasir Idris administration’s commitment to improving the standard of education in the state, the foundation will include three hundred orphans from the four local government areas of Zuru emirate and another three hundred from the three local government areas of Yauri Emirate.
In totality, M-TECH Universal Foundation has so far enrolled one thousand and fifty orphans and children of the less privileged under its scholarship programme.
It is obvious that if more patriotic and selfless business tycoons distinguished politicians with genuine desire to support the less privileged in any aspect of living, the society will certainly witness improved well-being.
