Cross River Governor Ben Ayade

One of Governor Benedict Ayade, Barrister Edet Okon Asim has slumped and died almost immediately inside his car in a popular street in Calabar, capital of Cross River State.
He was a former Commissioner for Information in the State and Gov Ayade appointed him his special adviser on biodiversity.
Asim was accused of raping his maid repeatedly which case was being heard in the court.
Family sources and colleagues in government have confirmed that his remains have been deposited in a local morgue Wednesday.
