Bauchi communities laud former Reps. Speaker, Dogora over donation of food items during Ramadan

Various communities in Bauchi state have lauded the former Speaker of the House of Representative, Yakubu Dogara for donating foodstuffs and other items to Muslims umma at Ramadan and the Eid-el-Fitir sallah celebrations.
Alhaji Bappah Audu, speaking to journalists on behalf of the benefiting communities across the 20 local government areas in the state said that the gesture really assisted during the period.
He further said that the benefiting communities commended Yakubu Dogara for the donation of foodstuffs and other items during the fasting period when people need it most and as well promote good relationships.
He said that, “On behalf of the benefiting communities we are grateful to the former Speaker. We appreciate him for his passion for helping the poor and working for the development of the state,”.
Bappah Audu explained that the beneficiaries are mosques, chief Imam’s, less privileged, various associations and the downtrodden at Ramadan.
According to him, “The food items distributed included 4 Trailers of Rice. 1 Trailer load of Sugar, 2 Trailers of assorted grains. 300 cartons of spaghetti, Can fish 400 cartons of Indomie Noodles.
“About 35% of the consignment went to his Federal Constituency as the balance of 65% went to the remaining 17LGAs in the State,” he said.
The former Speaker, Yakubu Dogara is the member representing the Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa-Balewa Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.
