Bauchi FRSC ready for presidential visit, appeals for cooperation from motoring public

Ahead of the presidential working visit to Bauchi state by President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, the State Sector Command of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) has expressed its readiness to ensure a hitch-free visit.
Sector Commander of the FRSC, CC Yusuf Abdullahi told Journalists that every necessary arrangement to ensure free flow of vehicles during the visit have been conducted.
According to him, “the preparations is at its peak with route marking in cognisance of the program of event. Traffic activities will be put under check 48hrs before the visit” .
Abdullahi Yusuf added that a total of 125 Regular, Special Marshals and NYSC RC have been mobilized and will be deployed to all the marked routes in order to avert congestion and gridlock during the visit.
He added that 2 heavy duty tow trucks and 3 light duty tow trucks have been stationed at strategic locations to immediately evaluate broken down vehicles while 4 Ambulances and 10 Operational Vehicles will be patrolling 36 Junctions and inter change.
“While we wish the President a hitch free visit, the motoring public should please accommodate out short notice and we are sincerely sorry for any inconvenience the closure of some of the routes might cause them”, the Sector Commander concluded.
