The Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed has signed into law, bills for establishment of Oil and Gas Institute Alkaleri and another on Tree planting, Environmental and conservation related matters.
The other law is for the repeal on mager of Bauchi State Investment Corporation and Bauchi State Investment Promotion Agency.
At the occasion held at the Banquet Hall, Government House Bauchi, Governor Bala said all the laws are meant for the benefit of the people and Government of the State.
He said the laws will ensure effective oil and gas exploration, reduce environment challenges and advance investment and business activities.
He thanked the State House of Assembly for partnership and understanding with his administration and attributed it to the achievements recorded by the Government.
Governor Bala assured the Speaker of the Assembly who is the Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of Nigeria that Bauchi State will support him to succeed in the assignment.
Presenting the document to the Governor, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Honorable Abubakar Y Suleiman said the three laws are all important especially the one for the establishment of Oil and gas Institute.
The Speaker said the Assembly is determined to work with the State Government to ensure Bauchi get all it right at various institutions of government.
