Bauchi offers Air Force land for fighter jet training

The Governor of Bauchi State, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar has approved a land for the Nigerian Air Force to establish a training centre for its fighter jet officers and men.
The governor said the donation was made to further encourage the Air Force in its commitment to combat insurgency and other criminal activities in the country.
In a statement emailed to Apex News by the Press Secretary to the governor, Abubakar El-Sadique, the land is for NAF’s ongoing expansion of units and formations.
The statement said the governor disclosed gesture in Bauchi Saturday at the official commissioning of small arms shooting range and personnel accommodation at the Nigerian Air Force Base.
He said the government was planning to handover a portion of land within the Lame Burra forest to the Nigerian Air Force for establishing an air range to sharpen the fighting skills of operators of Nigerian Air Force fighter aircraft..
