Bauchi Speaker pledges more dividends of democracy as Katagum lawmaker doles out vehicles, others to constituents

Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Y. Suleiman  has pledged that all the 31 members of the Assembly will continue initiating and executing projects and programmes to empower their constituents in order to develop the Constituencies.
He was speaking as Special Guest of Honour during the launching of empowerment scheme of the member representing Katagum Constituency in Zaki Local Government, Mukhtar A. Suleiman which took place on Friday in Katagum.
The Speaker who commended the lawmaker for initiating the empowerment scheme in which cars, motorcycles, grinding machines and other items were distributed, said that their party, APC and all members of the State Assembly are proud of him.

According to him, the 9th Assembly of Bauchi State is blessed with members who are patriotic and have development plans of their constituencies as their topmost political agenda.
While congratulating the beneficiaries of the gesture, the Speaker called on them to make good use of the items given to them and redouble their effort in promoting the party and the lawmaker whom he described as his close ally and friend.
In his remarks, Bauchi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Alhaji Uba Ahmed Nana lauded Mukhtar Suleiman’s empowerment scheme which he described as powerful and impacting one.
He also said that the scheme and many developmental projects initiated by the lawmaker speak volume of his patriotism and leadership qualities, saying all APC members in the State are proud of him.

Alhaji Uba Nana explained that members of APC in the State House of Assembly have excelled in providing dividends of democracy to their constituents which is clear indication that people made good choice for voting the party’s candidates.
In his speech, Mukhtar A Suleiman said that the scheme is meant to empower his constituents and reciprocate the confidence they reposed in him.
According to him, since his election as member of the State Assembly, he has executed various developmental projects and humanitarian services across the Constituency.
He thanked the Speaker, his colleagues, party leaders and all people that honoured the historic event and pledges to continue doing more for his people.
Some of the items disbursed include 10 cars, 50 motorcycles, 35 sewing machines, grinding machines and working equipments for vigilante groups.
