The Vice Chancellor, Sa’adu Zungur University, Bauchi, Prof. Fatimah Tahir, has commended the National Universities Commission (NUC) for sending a powerful delegation to the university in it efforts to ensure quality and standard in all the courses been run at the University as part of their mandate.
The NUC delegation who were received and. welcomed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Professor Bala Ma’aji Abdulhamid on behalf of Prof. Fatimah Tahir, further expressed appreciation and assured the NUC delegation of the University Management’s total commitment and support to achieve their objectives to ensure the university meet requirements set by NUC in continuation of it 2024 accreditation exercise.
This was contained in a press statement Monday by the Head of Information and Public Relations of the University, Mallam Isa Sulaiman.
According to the statement, the NUC delegation will examine four programs in the university that includes Pharmacy, Public Health, Anatomy and Science Laboratory Technology adding that a total of 17 programmes from various Faculties are expected to be accredited.
According to the statement, the Chairman of the Pharmacy team from NUC, Prof. Nelson Ochekpe told the Vice Chancellor that they are in the university to ensure NUC standards are met in running their programmes.
He, however, commended the Management of the university under the leadership of Prof. Fatimah Tahir, for providing and ensuring availability of all it takes to serve as real University.
“We are satisfied with the learning equipments and facilities in the University,” he said.
