The authorities of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State have advised prospective candidates of the institution for the 2018/2019 academic session to be wary of admission racketeers.
This is even as the institution said that the university was committed to a transparent admission process.
The Director, Information and Public Relations/Chief Protocol Office of the university, Dr. Emmanuel Ojukwu, who gave this advice in a press release, appealed to candidates who met the admission criteria to exercise patience, noting that the admission process had not ended.
Part of the statement reads, “Every candidate who made above 50% in post-UTME from any department was admitted and re-distributed to other departments depending on available space and performance.
Further, every candidate who had up to 40% (Post-UTME) and 200 (aggregate) in the Faculty of Management Science was admitted.
“Every candidate who had up to 40% (Post-UTME) and 160 (aggregate) in the Faculties of Environmental Science and Engineering was also admitted.”
He disclosed that the university had forwarded the list of all candidates who met the criteria to JAMB and, with time, their details would reflect on the university portal.
