Bishop Ibezim asks Nigerians to tackle challenges with prayers

The Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, Right Reverend Alexander Ibezim says only prayers can salvage Nigeria from its present condition.
Bishop Ibezim disclosed this during a special Eucharist Service for the 58th Independence Anniversary of Nigeria at the Cathedral Church of Saint Faith, Awka.
Delivering a sermon during the service, Bishop Ibezim said that the country has not fared better in the past 58 years, as poverty, corruption, insecurity and religious intolerance have bedeviled the country’s growth over the years.
The Anglican Prelate noted that only fervent prayers can salvage the nation from its current woes, especially now that there is high level of insecurity, tribalism and marginalization in the country and commended Governor Willie Obiano for his giant achievements in the state, particularly in the agricultural sector.
Also Speaking, the Special Assistant to the governor on Community Liaison, Comrade Obi Ochije equally called on Nigerians to be prayerful in order to have a peaceful 2019 general elections.
