The Executive Chairman of Bogoro Local Government Council in Bauchi State, Hon. Iliya Habila has assured the people of Yabra community in Dutsen Lawan Ward that they will always receive his support.
Habila gave the assurance when he commissioned a healthcare facility in Yabra village on Tuesday.
He said his administration is fully committed to addressing the barriers in obtaining accessible health care services in the rural areas.
According to him, drugs have been distributed across PHCs and hard-to-reach areas in the LGA with the overall aim to meeting the health care needs of the people.
The chairman urged the Director, PHC to immediately deploy health workers to the health facility.
He charged the people of Yabra and other surrounding villages to patronize the health facility.
In a remark, the Director of Primary Health Care Department, Mr. Iliya D. Ishaku joyfully appreciated the people of Yabra for embarking on the project.
He maintained that the health facility will link underserved communities.
Mr. Ishaku observed that the health facility will among other things take health care services closer to pregnant women, women of childbearing age, newborns and children.
Mr. Ishaku congratulated the people of Yabra community.
He however pointed out that the PHC department is ready to promote health care services through community participation and urged other villages to emulate Yabra community.
