Borno football club owners hail El-Kanemi FC new board

Contrary to an opinion expressed on social media that the Borno State football club owners association is not in support of the newly constituted board of Elkanemi Warriors football Club, its Chairman Ibrahim Bunu yesterday debunked that opinion when the association paid a courtesy call on the Chairman Elkanemi Warriors Football Club Alhaji Sheriff Bukar at the boardroom of the Warriors football Club in Maiduguri.
Led by its chairman, Ibrahim Bunu the club owners after the address by Elkanemi Chairman, Alhaji Sheriff Bukar dropped all the apprehensions in the association when he told the club owners that the board is not fighting anybody or reconciling rather it is only rubbing minds with them as both club owners Association and Elkanemi are working for a common goal of developing football in Borno state.

According to the chairman those home based players that cannot deliver in the Warriors team should give chance to other home based players.

“The subtraction and addition here is simple, home based out and home based in,” he declared.
Alhaji Sheriff said every person is important and leadership is given by Allah to whom he so desired at the time he so desired. Anybody contesting that is fooling himself. He called for the cooperation of the club owners for us to be on the same page in our efforts to make Elkanemi and football in the state greater.
There is no new person among us and everybody is important in our quest of developing the game of football especially the home based players from their respective clubs.

He disclosed that he has a big plan of giving a good number of license spaces for the home based players whom he added must be encouraged to make a meaningful development of our football.

He assured them of Elkanemi’s cooperation in the area of recruitment of players and many other roles in the team, pointing out that their observations on recruitment will be considered for us to carry them along.
In his response Club owners Chairman, Ibrahim Bunu said “Elkanemi is their blood in Borno football circle”.

He concurred with the Chairman Elkanemi that leadership is given by Allah, assuring the new board of their total support.

He advised the Elkanemi Chairman to contact the leadership of the club owners for anything that is not clear pertaining their association.

He then call on members to pray for the Chairman to succeed in his drive towards rebuild Elkanemi.
The club owner’s secretary, Hamisu Sale was surprised with the goodies Elkanemi Elkanemi Chairman have for them.

He expressed happiness on the plans of the chairman and prayed Allah to guide him and their association to work together.
In his brief remark the vice Chairman Elkanemi Warriors, Waziri Isa expressed concern on our home based players whom he said are not many in other states of the country because they are not encourage to go out.

He said he severally pays money to footballers outside his club who are planning to go on trails within Nigeria.
