The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has tasked beneficiaries of some of its intervention programmes from Bauchi State to intimate others especially those at the local levels to equally enjoy.

Osita Nwanisobi, Acting Director, Public Communication Department Central Bank of Nigeria gave this charge Tuesday in Bauchi at a CBN two day sensitisation programme on it’s intervention packages.

He said that the programme designed to promote financial and economic stability in post Covid-19 era will not be optimally accessed if the target beneficiaries of low income earners are not aware.

He said, “it is not good for only you to eat alone, please tell others so that they can also benefit”.

Nwasinobi added that the need to hear directly from the stakeholders and address their concern was what prompted the sensitisation programme.

He said, “We want to listen to our stakeholders and hear their pain points, challenges and areas they are having difficulties so that we can ease such challenges.

We have had testimonies from people who have come here to tell us, yes they are working so that at the end of the day that will help us to make our interventions and our policies much better”.

He warned them against faking their information or being dubious in their bid to access the intervention as they can be traced back through their BVN and prevented from benefiting from any part of Nigeria.

Idris Haladu, the CBN Branch controller Bauchi on his part said, “the bank will avail opportunities for small scale and medium businesses to operate and access facilities”.

The state Chairman Rice Farmers Association Dr. Yahaya Bello had earlier hinted that about 20,000 rice farmers benefited from one of the intervention platforms, CBN Anchors Borrowers programme.

Stakeholders at the event to facilitate future awareness Creation includes National Orientation Agency (NOA), different farmers and Markets Associations.
