Nigerian Christian pilgrims have arrived Israel from Jordan Sunday afternoon to begin their spiritual journey in the Holy Land.
After clearing border formalities at the Jordan Valley border with Israel, the pilgrims of the ninth batch were driven straight to Mount Tabor or Mount of Transfiguration, a significant biblical place of importance.
From middle way towards the mountain, pilgrims were transferred atop of the mountain, 610 metres above sea level, in smaller buses to pray at the spot were the transfiguration took place.
The present of Church of Transfiguration was built in 1924 by the Franciscan Society.

Thereafter, pilgrims were moved to the Basicila of Annunciation in Nazareth where the Angel Gabriel announced to the Virgin Mary she was conceived by the Holy spirit.
Pilgrims were showned round the Basicila especially where Mary’s house was and Joseph carpentry workshop was located. There Rev. Father Joseph Gandu read from the Luke 1: 26-38. He prayed for the divine and supernatural announcement in our lives.
The Basilica of the Annunciation is one of the most important churches in the Middle East with the current Church completed in 1969.
