Nigerians have been urged to cheer up and expect a positive resurrection of every facet of existence that looks bleak at the moment as God is working to make things right again.
The assurance was given by the resident Pastor of GoodNews Baptist Church, Wuntin Dada, Bauchi, Rev Ezekiel Oyebode in his Easter Sunday sermon titled ‘Testimony of his Resurrection’.
He expressed optimism that just as Jesus Christ resurrected, God is working to resurrect the economy of the country as well as surmount the current security challenges.
According to him, “If God will raise Jesus Christ for dead and make the tomb to remain empty till date, He is busy working out the way Nigeria will get out of the myriad of challenges facing it”.
The Clergyman who took his text from Acts 4:33 stressed that Christians should not be ashamed to testify to the resurrection of Jesus Christ because according to him, that is the basis of Christianity.
Ezekiel Oyebode who is the Chairman of North-East Baptist Conference admonished Christian leaders to emulate the good virtues of Jesus Christ by engaging in ventures that portrays their faith in God.
He further urged the Christian community in Bauchi state not to be left behind in the build up to the 2023 General elections advising them to go get their PVCs because that is the only weapon they have to entrench a government of their choice.
He further advised them to join political parties of their choice so that they can have a platform with which to aspire for any elective office in order to participate in nation building.
