Governor Ishaku of Taraba State
A fresh communal crisis has erupted in Kunini of Lau Local Government Area of Taraba State with unspecified number of persons alleged to have been killed.
Reports reaching Apex News indicated that the crisis started when masquerades attacked some youths in the town resulting into a reprisal.
This led to people burning houses leading to the deaths.
However, it was learnt that timely arrival of a team soldiers and police helped control the situation.
A resident, Mallam Abdul Madaki confirmed to Apex News that many women and children have fled the area.
