Court vacates order stopping Adamawa supplementary election

Fintiri, PDP candidate set for victory?
A Yola High Court has vacated its order that restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from concluding the governorship election in the state.
The court had earlier issued an injunction, restraining INEC from conducting the supplementary election scheduled for March 23.
The suit was filed by the candidate of the Movement for Restoration and Defence of Democracy (MRDD), Eric Theman, over the missing of the party’s logo on the ballot papers.
The presiding judge, Justice Abdul-azeez Waziri, issued an order stopping the INEC from going ahead with the supplementary election pending the determination of the case.
However, the court has now vacated the order and a new date will be set by the INEC for the supplementary election in the state. (Daily Trust)
