The management of the Federal Medical Centre, Keffi, has appluaded the Federal Government of Nigeria for her intervention towards improved medical care for citizenry since the outbreak of coronavirus leading to the establishment of Intensive Care Units in most hospitals in the country.

Dr Yahaya Baba, the Medical Director of the centre made the remark during a courtesy visit to his office by Apex News Exclusive on Tuesday in Keffi.

According to him, there are over ten to twenty beddings in intensive care units in all the Federal Medical hospitals in the country,as against the previous years ten years ago.

He said despite the dwindling challenges of funding raising from cost o maintaining light in the medical center, FMC Keffi is today one of the best in terms of sustaining constant power supplies,which is not depended on national grid,but servicing both the PHCN and generator.

Dr Yahaya said most federal medical centers since the outbreak of COVID-19 have had the privilege of having intensive care units and are the best in providing health care services in the country today.
