Cross River 2027: Group begins contributions to purchase nomination form for Governor Otu

A socio-political group, Northern Cross River Coalition (NORTHCCO) has adopted Governor  Bassey Otu to continue his administration beyond 2027. 

To this extent, the group has called on its members to contribute to enable them purchase APC nomination form to enable Otu and his deputy, Dr Peter Odey to run the 2027 governorship election. 

At a meeting  in Calabar yesterday,  they  unanimously endorsed Governor Otu for a second term in the 2027 governorship race. 

They also passed a vote of confidence in both Otu and Odey.

They further pledged to fund the purchase of the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination form on their behalf.

They declared Otu as their sole candidate for 2027, stating that no aspirant from the District would contest against him.

They also threw their support behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.

They advocated for more developmental projects and increased political appointments for the Northern District.

Speaking, Otu expressed deep appreciation to the political stakeholders and traditional rulers of the North for their unwavering support for his administration. 

He reiterated his administration’s commitment to equitable development across all senatorial districts.

The event concluded with renewed calls for unity, development, and continued support for the Otu administration as the state prepares for the political road ahead.
