Demand for Highland Tea increases, says MD

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mambilla Beverages Nigeria Limited, Kakara, Timothy Fanya says the demand of Highland Tea has increased tremendously during this era of Covid nineteen pandemic.

Fanya stated this at Kakara, Sardauna Local Government Area of the state.
He revealed that the demand of the product has increased due to its advantages in the body system especially this period of coronavirus.
Fanya disclosed that the high intake of Mambilla black and green tea helps to boost immune system to fight covid nineteen and encouraged people to increase taking the tea.
In other hand, the MD however stated that the outbreak of coronavirus has seriously affected the production of the company as the cost of the packaging materials have increased tremendously.
He said a material which was used to buy for N5000 had increased to N11,000 adding that the worst part of it were the imported materials which is difficult to import production materials and it have affected the company negatively.
The MD stressed that due to the cost of production materials, the company decided to increase the price of its products to cover up the cost of production.
He commended Governor Darius Dickson for his financial support to the company to ensuring an effective production.
