Easter: Nasarawa Governor, Engineer Sule felicitates with christians urges prayer for Nigeria

Nasarawa State Governor Engineer Abdullahi Sule, has call on Christians in the state to continue to pray for the stability of the present security challenges bedeviling the country and the socio economic development.
The governor in his Easter message which he personally signed, said as Christians the world over celebrate this year’s Easter
- I, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, the Governor, on behalf of the Government and people of Nasarawa State felicitate with the clergy and all Christian faithful in commemoration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
“As we are aware, the events leading to the resurrection of Christ were a significant milestone in the history of Christianity. The death and rise of Jesus Christ, therefore, symbolized sacrifice and the divinity of God. Thus, Jesus Christ personifies selflessness, humility, sacrifice, patience and perseverance” He said
Accordingly, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, Christians in the State to continue to imbibe these virtues by showing love, affection, good neighborliness and, indeed, peaceful coexistence among the diverse people of the State.
Similarly, he call on all the brethren to use this period to reflect on the good teachings of Christ which epitomize forgiveness, sacrifice and tolerance.
” I also call on you to pray for God’s intervention on the spate of security challenges bedeviling the country and also pray for the continuous socio-economic development of our dear State.
“May your sacrifices and abstinence during the Lenten Season bring peace, unity, good health and progress to our great State. On this note, I wish you a hitch-free Easter celebration”, Engineer Sule concluded.
