The Maiduguri Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), recorded 300 reported cases, and secured 7 convictions between January and June this year in Borno State.
Out of the 300 cases, 40 have since been charged to court just as 80 others have been assigned to the legal unit of the commission for necessary action.
Also about N35million recovered within the period under review.
Head of the Zonal office, Aminu Ado Aliyu disclosed this at the “road work against corruption” embarked by the Commission in Maiduguri to mark the occasion of the African Anti-Corruption Day with the theme “Africa unite to defeat corruption.”
