A player of El-Kanemi FC going through the process of COVID-19 test

In line with the Nigeria National League directives for all clubs to undergo a COVID-19 test for all players and officials as a criteria for team registration for 2020/2021 football season, players and officials of Elkanemi Warriors Football Club yesterday took turns taking the mandatory COVID-19 test at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH).
The team of medical staff of the Club organized the players and official for the COVID-19 test officials who observed the protocols to carry out their assignment diligently.

Speaking shortly after the samples taking excercise, the Executive Chairman Elkanemi Warriors FC, Alhaji Sheriff Bukar Expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the exercise describing it as timely approach to the safety of Football family in Nigeria as a whole.
“The plan for routine COVID-19 test will go a long way in promoting the safety of all those that will be involved in the league and other related issues of the most important league”. The Chairman expressed optimism. He directed the club medical team to come up with the cost implication of all related facilities that will make Elkanemi to be fully compliant.
