El-Kanemi Warriors, Maiduguri records second away draw in Zaria

In continuation of its NNL campaign towards promotion to the elite league, Elkanemi warriors football club of Maiduguri yesterday recorded another draw at the KABAMA stadium Zaria. The warriors who attack with Ba,AKAKA at the top tested the defense wall of the Green Berets severally in the opening quarter to no avail. Elkanemi tried to maintain possession but the host resorted to unnecessary fouls to cut the flow of the warriors. The game was mostly played with the warriors making coordinated moves that were disrupted by fouls or clearance by their opponents. Elkanemi went on to play to instruction making beautiful incursions that almost paid off in three different attacks. The glaring scoring opportunity was fired out by the top attacker, Ba,akaka Ajikolo who appeared for the first time in starting lineup this season.
The match at tail end became a shelling affair for the two teams with the host aiming the vital area of the visitors while they clear to safety with occasional counter attacks. That way it ended goalless.
The warriors of Maiduguri will host Mighty Jets of Jos in a midweek engagements of the NNL group A1 week 10 matches.
